Module Features
Commercial
- Schedule Manager — Core module allows schedulers to build aircraft schedules by planning and maximizing commercial return while adhering to desired business parameters. Planners can import SSIM schedule files or use either a Gantt chart view with drag and drop functionality or a textual-based entry view to easily build a schedule with simple mouse clicks.
Planning and Scheduling
- Resource Planning Manager — Core module provides crew planners with tools to plan and monitor revalidation and qualification checks, medicals, license renewals, annual leave and administration needs. Dynamic display allows users to instantly view resource levels, conflicts and identify resource gaps. An interactive warning system and course planning tools lets planners control crew training requirements in one easy to use application.
- Pairing Manager — Add-on module allows crew planners to establish cost-effective crew pairings from a commercial flight schedule and perform comprehensive rule validation of all pairings as the user builds them. Pairing Manager offers a Gantt chart view of schedules, click and drag build system, easy-to-use GUI, plus advanced import functionality and replication across desired time periods to quickly generate pairings solution for analysis and operational use. Pairing Manager can use the results from Navitaire’s Planning Optimization Suite which uses advanced power, sophisticated algorithms and speed to generate multiple optimized solutions for various business scenarios.
- Roster Manager — Add-on module gives crew planners the ability to produce equalized rosters using multiple criteria. Easy-to-view, color-coded user displays and grids allow auto-allocation and manipulation of crew duties to help create equalized, targeted rosters using a wide variety of parameters. Roster manager can also be integrated with the Planning Optimization Suite to produce optimized rosters focused on broader business goals such as minimizing fatigue, maximizing crew quality of life and at the same time providing the most cost-effective rosters.
Operations
- Crew Tracking Manager — Core module provides timely information to help planners react appropriately and quickly to deliver fast, workable day-of-operation solutions. The duty-grid based GUI displays a continual, at-a-glance view of real-time rule exceptions and uncovered flights to let crewing officers work with affected crews while keeping abreast of operational requirements. Planners also have a convenient screen tab for hotel, deadhead and standby management right at their fingertips. Crew Tracking Manager dynamically updates all crewing data for aircraft changes made in the live Day-of-Operations Manager, and lets your team manage crew sick calls, duty changes and duty swap requests in one application that shows the effect on the day's or future day's resources. Crew Tracking Manager can also import and commit SkySolver Recovery Suite crew recovery solutions.
- Day of Operations Manager — Core module delivers essential decision support to monitor and manage daily aircraft as well as crew monitoring and implement solutions to daily operations plans. Day-of-Operations’ rich and flexible Gantt display allows users to quickly track flight arrivals and swap flight cycles in seconds, view and manage maintenance information and events, and help manage the notification of operational changes to airline stakeholders. Schedule information can be imported via SSIM, ASM and SSM files to build and modify schedules, and aircraft information can be imported via IATA standard movement messages (MVT), or ACARS data messages for flight information updates. Operations teams can then build "what if" scenarios and better-fit flight swap functionality to make quick and intelligent recovery decisions in disruption situations. Day of Operations Manager can also import and commit aircraft recovery solutions from SkySolver Recovery Suite solutions
- Flight Log Manager — Core module that provides the electronic flight log to validate system data with the captain’s Flight Deck log data. Fuel and Engine trend fields and optional custom fields allow data entry for operational information not already captured, and crew fields allow flight and instrument time, landings and approach types to be captured to support compliance calculations and support. Flight Log Manager helps users verify the actual information following flight completion and makes it available electronically for comprehensive management reporting, including information from tech or flight logs, for other core management systems in Engineering, Finance and Flight Operations.
Value-Added Components
- CrewNet Portal — core module provides crew with a web-based access portal for company communication and employee self-service. CrewNet can be used to distribute rosters, provide crew briefing information, advise duty change notifications, document and notice read acknowledgements, access flight plans, weather and NOTAMs, and update personal details. Crew can also use CrewNet to view other crew members’ rosters, initiate duty swaps, and bid for leave, duty or days offs. Airlines can tailor CrewNet access and scope for crew room PCs to support duty sign-in use as well.
- Crew Monitor — core module used to track duty sign-on and attendance, including crew scheduling staff alerts and reporting for late sign-in crew members and crew that have not yet signed-in or checked-in through CrewNet.
- Executive Dashboard — Add-on module shows a real-time overview of the status of all flights, with detailed flight information and individual aircraft status as well as a summary of the previous days delays.
- Pay and Allowances Manager — Add-on module supports payroll and allowance-based crew pay calculations. Geneva offers many highly configurable payroll functionality parameters to set pay guarantee, overage, and trip or duty rigs to allow automatic payroll calculation for each crew member. Allowance functionality is event criteria based and designed to support a variety of crew allowance scenarios. Both payroll and allowance results can be reviewed and manually amended before exporting details to your payroll system.
- Report Manager — Core module provides timely, targeted and informative reporting to support on-time performance, delay management, trend analysis or invoice reconciliation. Report Manager allows airlines to add custom fields to capture additional information, and provides a powerful reporting engine to create custom reporting using virtually any database field.
Advanced Platform and Integration Options
- Configuration Manager — Core module used to administer system parameters and static, standard data such as ports, equipment, aircraft, and crew. It is also used to configure complex crew and aircraft rules, and control system access.
- Central Database and Data Store — Geneva uses a central database which provides a single data source to house aircraft and crew data for efficient planning and easier integration. Geneva’s Offline Data Store (ODS) provides even more flexibility and power for analysis and reporting.
- Rules Engine — Provides advanced capabilities to define and evaluate multiple factors related to aircraft, crew, stations, ports, regulatory rules, crew contracts, and business rules. These factors are used by multiple Geneva modules to define application parameters, identify issues and alerts, perform complex calculations and generate holistic day of operations solutions.
- Active Integration Service (AIS) — Manages communications between Geneva and other software products providing flight and schedule information (e.g., SSM, ASM, SSIM, MVT and ACARS messaging) as well as the transfer of electronic flight planning information such as weather, NOTAM, and flight plans. AIS also supports many bespoke integrations with engineering, payroll, HR and Finance systems.
- Web Services APIs — Allow connections to other systems and partners to provide access to Geneva data or feed data to the Geneva applications. Web Services use a web based XML format facilitating communication with other web-based applications, such as Intranets, ground handling applications and public websites and terminal display screens. Data can be retrieved and even updated, including data sets based on flight, terminal/gate and passenger information.
