Open Skies by Navitaire Wins Best Provider of Web Transaction Systems

ATTIS Award Recognizes the Skylights® Web-Based Reservations System

Minneapolis; May 6, 2002: Navitaire has been awarded the "Best Provider of Web Transaction Systems" by Air Transport and Travel Information Systems (ATTIS). The award recognizes Open Skies by Navitaire's reservations system, which provides web-based reservations systems for the airline and travel industries.

Airline customers who use Skylights have the highest Internet booking ratios in the industry, which translates into dramatic costs savings. The system combines a streamlined booking process with low cost access and the ability to offer discounted or special fares to travelers, travel agents, and corporations. In addition, the Skylights system is created with templates structured for easy integration with an airline's website 'look and feel', enabling rapid and cost effective implementation.

ATTIS EXPO organizer Keith Magnay said, "Open Skies by Navitaire provides a set of web tools that enable direct selling, reduce staff requirements, avoid costly settlement systems, and can provide all these functions without third parties such as IATA, BSP's, GDS's and clearing houses."

One airline customer said that Navitaire's Skylights product has saved the airline 18 million Euros per year in distribution costs. Fourteen Navitaire customers currently use the Skylights system including: JetBlue, Virgin Express, Virgin Blue, RyanAir, Go Fly and AirTran. The ATTIS awards are largely contingent upon customer recommendation and referral.

In addition to expanded booking channels, Open Skies' InstantPay feature, used in combination with a truly ticketless environment, enables real-time revenue reporting, thereby eliminating many of the traditional airline revenue accounting tasks and delays. InstantPay's immediate revenue reporting will often eliminate up to thirty days from an airlines' typical revenue cycle.
